Revenue / Civil Service
I graduated from the University of Limerick with a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree (Major Accounting and Finance). I subsequently qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant with Chartered Accountants Ireland and as a Chartered Tax Advisor with the Institute of Tax.After gaining invaluable and varied experience working in practice, I joined the Revenue Commissioners in 2016.
What we do
I was assigned to the Indirect Taxes Policy and Legislation Division which is one of four Revenue Legislation Services Divisions with responsibility for the development of Indirect Tax policy at national and EU level and managing the policy, legislation and interpretation functions for all Indirect Taxes (VAT, Excises and VRT).
Learning and Development
The work in Revenue is both challenging and interesting and I am encouraged to use and work on my own initiative. Revenue offers extensive training and development opportunities and has a strong culture of supporting employees.
