Civil Service Awards

The Civil Service Excellence and Innovation
awards took place in Dublin Castle this week with Minister Finance and Public Expenditure and Reform, Paschal Donohoe, announcing the
winners at the event.

The Civil Service Excellence and Innovation
Awards is an annual event that recognises excellence, best practice and innovation within
the public service. The awards promote commitment and achievements among staff and showcase enterprise in policy and service across the Civil and Public Service.

Some of the winners included the Department of Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht for the Excellence in Culture, Values and Diversity award for their work on Fresh Approaches to Driving Women's Participation in the Arts and
Culture Sector, the Department of Health for Citizen Impact and Customer Service for their Advanced Nursing Practice and the Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation for DBEI Innovation Week which included a Talk Series, Hackathon and Ideas Call.

The Department of Communications, Climate Action and & Environment was another winner on the night for Research, Analytics and Insight for their ObSERVE Programme which aim is to greatly improve our knowledge and understanding of protected offshore species and sensitive habitats through high quality, state-of-the-art data collection across Ireland's Exclusive Economic Zone.
