Executive Officer

What is the role?

The Executive Officer (EO) grade is the entry level to junior management in the Civil Service. EOs are employed in all government departments and offices and cover a wide range of roles and activities such as:

  • Drafting proposals relating to policy issues an legislation
  • Acting as junior managers in government departments
  • Dealing directly with the public in support of services provided to them by the civil service
  • Many other roles and activities

The entry requirements for this grade would typically be minimum Leaving Certificate level.

Salary:

The starting salary is €27,739.
